Privacy
TylerBooks Studio Privacy Notice
Your manuscript stays in the app-controlled workspace by default. TylerBooks does not send manuscript text, notes, cover files, or exports to Gopsco merely because you open or edit a local project.
TylerBooks has no third-party advertising, cross-app tracking, or behavioral analytics SDK. Optional first-party product analytics, diagnostics, personalization, and product-news measurement are controlled separately in Settings and are off by default. The web and Google Play editions use Gopsco account services for registration, sign-in, recovery, account rights, and access. The Google Play edition also contacts TylerBooks services to verify subscription access and app integrity.
Information TylerBooks processes
TylerBooks accounts
When you create a TylerBooks account in the web or Google Play edition, Gopsco processes your display name, email address, acceptance of the current terms, account and access identifiers, verification status, and account-creation time. Your passphrase is stored as a one-way password verifier rather than readable text. Email lookups, verification and recovery links, browser sessions, and native session exchanges use protected identifiers or time-limited tokens. Verification and recovery email is sent only for the account action you request.
Google Play access
The Google Play edition signs into the same TylerBooks account service used by the web edition. Paid access is attached to the signed-in TylerBooks account after server verification of the Google Play purchase, app integrity, and a pseudonymous device binding. Google supplies the purchase status needed to verify access; TylerBooks does not receive the password for your Google Account.
Subscription and integrity verification
When you purchase or restore access, the app sends a Google Play purchase token, product identifier, pseudonymous device binding, request proof, and Play Integrity token to TylerBooks. The server asks Google Play to confirm the subscription and app integrity. Raw purchase tokens are used for that transaction and are not written to the TylerBooks purchase ledger. The ledger keeps hashed identifiers, product and subscription state, expiration, device activation state, and verification time.
Projects and files
Book projects, imported media, notes, and local exports remain in app-controlled browser or device storage, or in storage you select. Creating or signing into a web account does not automatically upload a manuscript. Cloud collaboration and automatic manuscript upload are not enabled in the initial Google Play release. A future connected service must identify a transfer before it occurs and will require a new review of this notice and the applicable store declaration before release.
Network and security records
When a device contacts TylerBooks services, Gopsco may process the Internet address, request time, browser or app information, request outcome, and security events needed to deliver the request, prevent abuse, diagnose failures, and protect accounts. TylerBooks does not request precise device location for writing or publishing workflows.
Optional product analytics and diagnostics
In Settings > Privacy & Data, you can independently enable product analytics, crash and performance diagnostics, personalized workspace suggestions, or product news and offers. Each choice is off until you enable it. Accepted events use a closed, versioned schema for product areas, app version, platform, release channel, bounded outcomes, timing buckets, error classifications, and campaign identifiers. The service rejects manuscript text, titles, notes, file names, free text, URLs, advertising identifiers, precise location, and imported creative content. Purpose-specific pseudonymous account or organization indexes prevent optional events from becoming a readable content profile.
Support information
If you contact support, Gopsco processes the contact details and information you provide. Do not send passwords, Google Play purchase tokens, full manuscripts, or sensitive personal information unless support specifically requests a secure transfer.
How information is used
- To create, verify, secure, recover, export, and delete a TylerBooks account.
- To verify a paid introductory period or Google Play subscription and restore access.
- To prevent fraudulent activation, enforce device limits, and protect publishing operations.
- To create exports you deliberately request on your device.
- To answer support, billing, privacy, accessibility, and security requests.
- To maintain service security, reliability, legal records, and incident response.
- When you opt in, to measure product use, diagnose crashes or performance, personalize workspace suggestions, or measure TylerBooks product communications.
Sharing and sale
Gopsco does not sell TylerBooks personal information and does not use it for third-party advertising. Information may be processed by Google Play for purchases and integrity checks; by infrastructure providers acting under Gopsco's instructions; when you direct a publishing handoff; or when disclosure is legally required. A connected publishing provider applies its own terms and privacy notice to data you submit to it.
Retention
Local projects remain until you delete them, clear the applicable browser or app storage, or remove the app. TylerBooks account records remain while the account is open and are deleted when you complete account deletion, subject to limited transaction, fraud-prevention, dispute, tax, security, and legal retention. Expired action links and sessions are removed on their lifecycle or through the optional-data control. Raw optional product analytics, personalization, and product-news events are retained for no more than 90 days by default; raw optional crash diagnostics are retained for no more than 30 days by default. Withdrawing a purpose deletes its raw optional events. Subscription-verification records are kept while access remains active and for the limited periods needed to resolve transactions, prevent abuse, and meet legal or accounting duties. Support records are retained for the request and a reasonable follow-up period.
Security
TylerBooks encrypts network traffic, protects stored web identity fields, uses secure browser-session cookies, stores Android entitlements with the Android Keystore, binds release access to a pseudonymous device identifier, and verifies purchases on the server. No security system can eliminate every risk. Report a suspected TylerBooks security issue to tylersys.support@gopsco.com.
Your choices and rights
In the signed-in web or Google Play app, open Settings > Privacy & Data to change each optional data choice. Withdrawing a choice stops new collection for that purpose and deletes its raw optional events. Open Settings > License & Access to download account data, remove optional account data, or permanently delete the account. You can also remove local browser data, clear Android app data, uninstall the app, request service-data help associated with a verified Play order, and manage or cancel a subscription in Google Play. Account or service-data deletion does not cancel a Google Play subscription.
Children
TylerBooks is a professional writing and publishing product intended for users 18 and older. The Google Play edition is not designed for children.
