Data and deletion

Delete TylerBooks data

The TylerBooks web and Google Play editions provide signed-in account export and deletion controls. This page also explains how to delete local projects and request deletion of service data associated with a verified Google Play order.

Export or delete a TylerBooks account

  1. Open TylerBooks Studio and sign in.
  2. Open Settings > License & Access.
  3. Choose Download account data to receive the identity, access, and audit records tied to the account.
  4. Choose Delete optional account data to remove expired sessions, expired action links, optional audit context, and raw optional product telemetry without closing the account. This also resets every optional telemetry preference to off.
  5. Choose Permanently delete account, enter the current passphrase, and confirm the irreversible action to remove the account identity and sign out every session.

Account deletion does not remove projects kept only in browser, device, user-selected, or external-provider storage. Export and delete those copies separately. It also does not cancel a Google Play subscription.

Delete local projects and app data

  1. Export or copy any project you intend to keep to user-selected storage.
  2. Delete projects and exported files you no longer need.
  3. Use Android Settings > Apps > TylerBooks Studio > Storage > Clear storage, or uninstall TylerBooks, to remove app-controlled local data.
  4. Delete any TylerBooks files you separately saved in Downloads, Documents, removable media, or another app.

Clearing storage or uninstalling cannot be undone. Gopsco cannot recover a manuscript that stayed only on your device.

Request deletion of Google Play service data

Send a request from an email address you can access. Include the Google Play order ID shown in your Play purchase history, the product name TylerBooks Studio, and the country where the purchase was made. This information is used to verify that the requester controls the subscription record.

Do not send a Google password, purchase token, complete manuscript, government identification, or payment-card number. Support may ask for additional non-sensitive proof if the order cannot be matched.

What the request covers

The request does not delete files stored only on your device, files you exported elsewhere, Google Play's records, or data held independently by a printer, retailer, distributor, or other provider.

Subscription effect

Deleting matched verification data may require TylerBooks to verify the purchase again before access can be restored. Deleting a web account or matched service data does not cancel billing in Google Play. Cancel the subscription separately in Play if you do not want it to renew.

Verification, completion, and retained records

Gopsco confirms the request, verifies control, identifies the records in scope, and reports when the request is completed or why a record must be retained. Limited transaction, fraud-prevention, dispute, tax, security, or legal records may remain when required. Retained records are restricted to the applicable purpose and are not used to restore deleted product data.
